Love is in the air!

Not only are the Christmas decorations officially packed up and returned to the attic...I am all decorated for Valentines Day!  Rarely, but sometimes we are ahead of the game!  I know Valentines Day is not an official holiday, but I love all the red, pink and white stuff strewn all over my house...the red glitter hearts make me smile...and the red glitter mixes nicely with the silver glitter that is left from Christmas. The white doilies and vintage Valentines cards give it a nice "worn" feeling, like it's not brand new, right out of the bag!  It's fun to change things frequently and it gives a little perk to the emptiness that is left after all the Christmas decor is gone.

Official holiday or not it's a fun time to show someone special that they matter! We are not big on going out and celebrating with the masses and paying double what we normally would for dinner.  Nor are we big on buying each other extravagant, diamond encrusted gifts, but we do celebrate in our own fancy way---it does involve a candlelit dinner for 4, individual heart-shaped meatloaf topped with the "special sauce", homemade mashed potatoes and some yummy dessert that will most definitely be of the chocolate variety!  We exchange small gifts that will likely contain each others monogram this year :) and my husband will pass out "Date Cards" to all of us girls.  This is the best gift of all because what we all really want is time with him--priceless!  The girls have fun filling out the cards and returning them over the next few months to cash in on "Date Night" and truth be told, I love it to!  In all the hubbub and craziness that goes on around here I sometimes forget how much I actually like that guy!  He's super fun to hang out with, funny and in my unbiased opinion (of course) very handsome!

I hope ya'll will get your Valentines Day plans secured...show that special someone that you give a dang!  In case you would like to woo them with my heart shaped meatloaf, topped with the 'special sauce', here ya go (complete with spills and stains at no extra charge):

If you would like to give your special someone a personalized gift that includes 'their' monogram, visit us at SouthernGlamMonogram.com and shop 'til ya drop! There's a price range there for everyone, I promise!  And if you would like to use the 'Date Night' card idea, just grab an index card (color of your choice) and scribble away.  Whatever you decide to do...do it from the heart!
